Real talk to gain understanding from both perspectives.

Some of the most epic conversations amongst men have taken place at a barbershop. It is the sacred ground in which all men go to get commentary from their fellow male species about, politics, sports, women, or current events. In this sacred place a lot of discussions happen which allow men to be men. Over the last few years one of the most controversial topics in the United States is citizen and police relations. Although everyone is talking about it no one wants to talk about it. We do! They have assembled a diverse group of males and females which include officers, citizens, and some who have had run ins with law enforcement in one place to discuss openly how to make things better.

THE GOAL IS TO HAVE OPEN CONVERSATIONS WITH THOSE AFFECTED THE MOST.

"Reec" Swiney speaking to a group in the barbershop

"Our goal is to take our forum around the country to other cities and to partner with these other cities in an effort to create change. It is the duty of the police to get to know the people in which they serve. It is also the public's duty to get to know those same police. We have to work together to make our communities and neighborhoods better. They say it takes a village, well we are the Village People."
