The Background

Fun-loving, prank-pulling, television tuned-in, Michael Seiden is a proud born and raised Atlantian. From Mount Bethel Elementary to Dickerson Middle, he was instructed to dream big and follow his dreams. In 2004 he graduated from Walton High School. Afterward, he matriculated at Arizona State University where he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Journalism.

The Foreground

From New York to Florida, to Texas, and OKC, "White Mike" as he is called by #TheElite8, has covered some of our nation's largest stories. Whether natural disasters or mass shootings, look for him on the scene of breaking news across our nation. While he has collected numerous station alphabets throughout the country, he is proudest to have returned home to report for Channel 2, WSB-TV, the #1 news station in Atlanta. This is the same station that ignited his interest in journalism and travel at an early age. When he is not chasing the news, he and his wife are chasing after their son.

The Playground

Luckily, Mike enjoys running and working out because he is always busy volunteering. Clippers and Cops are first amongst the list where he serves as the Media Relations Specialist inevitably. He dedicates his time and talents to fulfilling his passion for giving back and expanding his knowledge of social issues and injustices across the globe. In honor of his heroes, his parents, he strives ceaselessly to instill in the youth he mentors the same values ingrained in him; ethics, honesty, hard work, and love. As a true sports fan, it comes as no surprise that L.E.A.D., an organization that uses baseball to coach youth to overcome threats to their paths to success, is one where he volunteers as a Coach. Some may call Mike an overachiever, but since that is never a bad thing, it just further serves as an example to his mentees in other organizations like the Boys and Girls Club of America and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Last but not least, we can't forget his compassion for animals and service to The Humane Society of America too.
