The Background
An only child, Micheal Carter was born and raised in the Adamsville area of the illustrious Atlanta, Georgia. He is no stranger to the Collier Park/Collier Heights area where he was active in neighborhood sports and other activities. He graduated from Harper High School in 1988. Inspired by the officers that patrolled his neighborhoods, and after some time in New Orleans, he joined the police academy and finished in 1993. Later in 1998, he graduated with a degree in Political Science from Georgia State University.
The Foreground
Carter, as he is often called, is passionate about learning and teaching but his classrooms are far from the normal ones that we are most accustomed to. As the Atlanta Police Department's current Lieutenant SWAT Commander, his eagerness for continuing education is just one way he commits himself to give Atlantians his absolute best. From Virginia to Mississippi and Texas to Florida, he trains amongst the nation's finest. He holds more than 10 state certifications and has completed hundreds of hours of training.

Carter is also a devoted family man to his wife of over 20 years and his three children.
The Playground
On the chance that Carter is not bulking up on his training and credentials, check the diamond or the grind iron. He enjoys the outdoors and sports is just one of the ways he soaks up the sun. His other interests include home DIY projects, cooking, cycling, and relaxing with his canines. He is continually serving, even in his spare time. He serves with Clippers & Cops as a Trainer but his service doesn't end there. The ALS foundation is also very near and dear to him and he commits some of his time serving with them as well. All of this comes and no surprise as a noble member of the infamous Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc. ROOF!
